Bitwise and CF Benchmarks forecast crypto trends for 2025
Bitwise and CF Benchmarks, two research-driven crypto firms, have made bold predictions for the upcoming year.
Both companies agreed on four major trends likely to shape the crypto market in 2025, including crypto ETFs, stablecoins, asset tokenisation, and crypto A.I. agents.
CF Benchmarks highlighted the success of crypto exchange-traded funds (ETFs), noting that Bitcoin (CRYPTO:BTC) ETFs alone have amassed $35 billion since January.
The company predicts that investment advisors will increase their allocations, pushing their share of both Bitcoin and Ether (CRYPTO:ETH) ETFs above 50% in 2025.
Bitwise concurs, stating that Bitcoin ETFs will attract more investment in 2025 than in the previous year, driven by rising institutional demand.
Stablecoins are also expected to see significant growth.
CF Benchmarks anticipates a 50% market increase, while Bitwise forecasts stablecoin assets under management (AUM) will double to $400 billion with the passage of favorable U.S. legislation.
Tokenisation is another area both firms expect to expand.
Bitwise projects that tokenised real-world assets (RWAs) will surpass $50 billion in value, while CF Benchmarks sees a more conservative $30 billion.
Both firms agree that Wall Street’s growing interest in tokenisation will drive this trend forward.
The final trend both companies agree on is the rise of crypto A.I. agents, which interact with blockchains to create autonomous tokens.
CF Benchmarks estimates that A.I. agents will account for over 10% of on-chain activity in 2025.
Bitwise predicts a meme coin boom fueled by A.I. agents, particularly those like Clanker, which has already launched 11,000 tokens.
These predictions highlight the potential for continued growth in the crypto space, with an emphasis on technological advancements and regulatory developments.
