Following Brett’s post, an X user, NetBastard, hinted at a potential connection between the resurfaced ad and the upcoming Super Bowl, scheduled for February 9, 2025.
The user commented , “Hmm, If only there was some event airing on 02/09/2025 that is shown around the World to get an ad like this one out to the masses… Hmmmm what could that be?”
This remark fueled discussions about whether Ripple could be planning a marketing campaign during the Super Bowl, one of the most widely viewed events globally.
However, another X user, WatsonSherlock1887, countered the excitement by clarifying that the advertisement was not new. “Ad is from several years ago it isn’t a new ad,” the user noted .
This statement aligns with the history of Ripple’s partnership with Azimo, which was officially announced in 2020. At that time, Azimo integrated Ripple’s On-Demand Liquidity (ODL) solution to enhance remittance services, particularly in corridors such as the Philippines.
Azimo and Ripple’s 2020 Partnership
In 2020, Azimo, a digital money transfer service, partnered with Ripple to leverage its ODL solution, which utilizes XRP for instant settlement.
The collaboration aimed to reduce costs and improve the speed of international transactions. Azimo’s adoption of Ripple’s technology was seen as a step forward in the company’s mission to provide efficient cross-border payment services.
At the time of the partnership, Azimo’s CEO, Richard Ambrose, highlighted the benefits of ODL, stating that it allowed the company to settle payments in real time while significantly reducing liquidity costs. The service was initially launched for remittances from Europe to the Philippines, a major remittance corridor with high demand for cost-effective transactions.

Market Speculation and Potential Implications
The sudden release of the advert has led to speculation about Ripple’s future marketing efforts . Some community members believe Ripple could prepare a broader campaign to promote XRP’s utility in global payments.
The mention of the Super Bowl in user discussions further amplified expectations, as securing an advertisement slot during the event would represent a major step in mainstream marketing.
Super Bowl commercials are among the most expensive and high-profile advertisements globally, often featuring major financial and technology firms.
If Ripple were to sponsor an ad during the event, it would signify a strong push toward mainstream adoption and public awareness of its payment solutions. However, there is no official confirmation yet from Ripple regarding such plans.
