Trump says he has directed Musk to review Pentagon spending
on February 7th local time, US President Trump stated that he had instructed the government efficiency team led by Musk to review the spending of the US Department of Defense. On January 20th local time, US President Trump signed an executive order on his inauguration day to form an advisory committee called the "Government Efficiency Department (DOGE)" in order to launch major reforms of the federal government.
