The TON blockchain will use LayerZero to improve cross-chain functionality
PANews reported on February 11th, according to CoinDesk, that Layer-1 blockchain TON announced it is establishing a partnership with interoperability protocol LayerZero. This will allow users to transfer funds between multiple ecosystems, bringing higher usage rates and fees for both parties. Initially, TON will connect with 12 blockchains including Ethereum, Tron and Solana.
Users will be able to transfer stablecoins onto TON via Stargate. They will also benefit from LayerZero's multi-chain liquidity which allows funds locked in different blockchains to be pooled together reducing the likelihood of slippage or direct trading failures. Developers will also benefit from this integration as they can use a single contract to deploy tokens from any LayerZero chain onto TON.
